Billing Information

Gateway now offers Quick Pay - a secure way to pay your patient statements online. No checks to write, no stamps to buy, no mail delivery delays. Click here to access our online bill payment system.

In some instances, your hospitalization insurance may not cover all of the charges incurred during your stay here. If that is the case, before you are discharged, one of our financial counselors may visit you to discuss your insurance benefits and any amounts that you will be responsible for. These amounts are most commonly referred to as deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance. Our goal is for you to fully understand what these amounts are, and why they are not paid by your insurance.

During this visit, our counselor will discuss how you may pay these amounts and will answer any questions that you may have about the billing process. If at any time during your stay you have concerns about your insurance coverage, you may call 931-502-1160 and we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Professional Fees
Be aware that your hospital charges are not the only charges that will be incurred as a result of your visit. During the course of your treatment, the professional services provided to you by a physician will be billed separately. These services include, but are not limited to, your attending physician’s charges, the surgeon (if you have surgery), the radiologist (for all reading of imaging services), the pathologist (for blood, tissue analysis), and the emergency room physician (if you were admitted through the emergency room).

After your discharge
Any time that you have concerns or questions about your account please call 931-502-1160. You may also visit our Business Office located on the first floor of the Medical Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
