Diabetes Education Program offers individual attention in a group setting regarding medications, exercise, blood glucose testing, prevention, and nutrition. Seventy-seven percent of patients who attended the class last year lost 11 pounds on average. Eighty-eight percent also lowered their blood sugar levels by an average of 70 points.
